Hi!
I'd like to make a suggestion to improve the interface when searching for a specific verb form - e.g. 走った - as opposed to the dictionary form - e.g. 走る.
Currently, when you search for 走った, here is the search result page:
URL: Search for 走った on japandict.com, and you will be redirected to https://www.japandict.com/%E8%B5%B0%E3%82%8B
As you can see, the searched term 走った doesn't even appear as is! The experience can be even worse when searching for こない, which looks like it doesn't have much in common with 来る (くる) if you don't know the word.
My suggestion is simple: you can simply mention in some way that 走った is the plain past form of 走る at the top. Maybe by adding next to the big 走る at the top "plain past form: 走った". I think that would make the experience more fluid, by making clear the relation between what you're displaying and what was searched. If there are multiple search results such as for こない, there is the same problem on the search results page (https://www.japandict.com/?s=%E3%81%93%E3%81%AA%E3%81%84), i.e. the page where multiple matching results are displayed, for which I have the same solution.
Have a good day!
