    I'll start by introducing myself.

I'm from Barcelona and my Japanese level is less than I'd like it to be, but I'm always learning and trying to improve it every day.

My interest in the Japanese culture started when I was a kid. A few years later I had the chance to live in Japan for few months, and since then I try to go back there at least once a year.

I'm the one behind the JapanDict website and the one responsible for this forum and all the other services like the @learnkanji Twitter account, the telegram bot and channel, the Facebook page, etc.

Feel free to ask me anything!

    よろしくお願いします!

  • I'm a girl from Italy, I speak a Japanese at a really basic level unfortunately and I'm trying to improve myself.
I Improve my Japanese studing every day for hours and watching youtube live streams, communicating with the live chat.
I like Japanese since I was in high school but I've never been able to learn it, a bit 'for the short time I had available a little' because I did not have the right method of study.
I would like to visit Japan but for now my goal is to be able to talk to the Japanese via the Internet in a quite natural way.
I'm full of apps and programs to talk to the Japanese but unfortunately the inconvenience of the interface means that the conversations end after a few sentences, so if someone is going to speak Japanese or to help me I would appreciate it a lot.
I know that many like me are trying to improve the language soみんながんばろう>w0❤

Great website. Is there any relation between japandict.com and jisho.org? Are you pulling from a common source? I have been using both sites for years, and most entries seem the same.

@anendtosnow There is no relation between both sites. The reason why most entries seem the same is because we get the data from the same sources. You can see all the ones used in JapanDict here: https://www.japandict.com/attributions
