Love the new features esp. the user lists. Also, the Core Japanese words list is really useful. At only 106 words, it's missing a lot, but it has a good selection of core words for someone just getting started. By comparison, I have over 4k commonly used words in my vocabulary list, so you have to leave stuff off.

PS. I picked up on a new meaning for a word today. 大丈夫 said with a worried voice means 'Are you OK?' Makes sense, If I sad OK, in English, with the same tone, it could mean the same thing.

Is it possible to remove an individual item in the list? I only noticed the ability to remove the entire list.

ichi_borusu yes of course! You just have to go to the word you want to remove and unmark it in the "add to list" menu

fr3nd Strangely, I did try that before, but the check box would turn to triangle shape with a bold exclamation mark in the middle of it, so I thought that it tried to add the word to my list for the second time. I just did it again and it worked.

The User Lists are exactly what I've been looking for to help save kanji I've searched for and need to study. Thank you very much!

One note, I've noticed all the kanji/ pages have a "ERROR getting users list" when attempting to Add to List.
For example, lets search for the kanji 男

If we go to the kanji/ page
https://www.japandict.com/kanji/%E7%94%B7?lang=eng#entry-
We will get the error.
(Looking at the console the error is: Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (). /j/userlists/entry/:1)
If we go to the word page
https://www.japandict.com/%E7%94%B7?lang=eng#entry-1419990
We do not get that error. Looks like its a directory or controller permissions issue for kanji/?

Thank you guys! Knowing that the user lists feature is useful motivates me a lot!

I'll try to reply all the comments one by one:

AzureEclipse I'm afraid that adding kanji to the user lists is not yet available. It's a feature I plan to add in the future, but it's still not implemented. That's the reason why it's giving an error, as the menu should not be here. I just forgot to remove it... 😅 I've updated the website so it's not shown any more.
ichi_borusu That triangle shape with the exclamation mark means that there was some kind of internal error. I'll investigate what could have failed and try to fix it. If it happens again, just refresh the page and the error will be gone.

I also wanted to ask what do you guys think about the feature to "like" public lists. Honestly I'm a bit surprised that not a lot of people is using it 🤔

I took a look at the site. I know you didn't create the list so I wasn't hard on you about it, でも they left off the most important word of all. でも！　でも！　でも！ They left off でも, how do you even talk without it 😆 でも, seriously, they did leave off all the particles too. It would be really hard to start without の，は，を at least, ね？

fr3nd I'm looking forward to being able to add kanjis to my lists in the near future! Loving this website, but the lack of that feature forces me to use other dictionaries solely for creating kanji lists

Naate you've got a point. I've added some important particles that were missing: でも、は、ね、を、へ、に、か、で、も、が、の.
