so i'm listening to the song "touhikou" by eve (banger btw) and the refrain has the word 真実 (truth) which i usually hear as "shinjitsu" but he pronounces it "kotae". i was looking and i can't seem to find that pronunciation elsewhere 😭 does anyone know where it comes from?
This is a technique called "ateji". There is no such reading, but in song lyrics, the lyricist may intentionally assign a figurative reading to the kanji.
