I’m confused on what connotation each of these have, because I’ve heard that 竜 refers exclusively to Chinese/Western dragons while 龍 refers to Japanese dragons, but I’ve also heard that 竜 and 龍 can be used interchangeably to refer to both Chinese and Japanese dragons, so I’m really confused.
